Brilliant gear
"I've just had near on 10 weeks travelling overseas. I purchased this luggage to replace a previous bag that is no longer in production and had issues with replacing components. This format seemed the best and most affordable replacement option. The potential to swap out wheels and their potential quality was one of my criteria. The two internal compartment system that were separated was the next most important feature. The heavy duty fabric was the next most important factor. The relative size of the space and accessibility were also important criteria as you obviously must be able to open the bag to find clothing etc but I needed to have two totally separate seasons contained individually. I was travelling through the USA, Dominican Republic as well as Europe in the time away. There were several plane transfers and movements on concrete footpaths as well cobblestones. These extreme conditions meant that the 4 wheeled systems would not be appropriate or take the rigours of not being in the perfect flooring types of an airport. Having extra grab handles of the robust nature of this bag meant lifting is made so much easier. The wheels stood up perfectly even to eventually getting on/off trains in Sydney where the platforms are over 100mm from the carriage and this creates it's own issues. The bag still looks as new after all the trials it has endured. The design of the two separated accessible internal components is a game changer. We had weather around 0° in some places while 30° was common at times. To have the clothing and footwear appropriate to these conditions meant that basically one season could separated and accessibility to only that condition was to make the travelling easier. The size of the bag and ability to reach every corner made it that I could stack with vacuum style bags the entire compartment. This said the maximum weight I achieved when I also had two pairs of 46 (13) sized shoes maxed out at 22 kg. This means air travel maximums were not exceeded at any time. Getting the luggage into vehicles also important with the different placement handles. I have found this luggage to be a game changer in my travel plans. Cannot wait for my next trip with this luggage. My only issue is when packing you need to have the larger heavy items at the bottom compartment at the wheels end. The base is possibly a little smaller and the unit will lean over to fall when stood upright. All but perfect. Totally recommend over arguably 95% of other options available and the price makes this a no brainer."
